Cheap and Easy Homemade Hummus
This homemade hummus is so easy and so delicious. At a fraction of the cost if you bought it from the store pre-made, it’s so worth the ten minutes to make fresh. The thing I love most about making things homemade is that you can alter the ingredients to make it exactly how your family likes it.
Ingredients
- Garbanzo beans (chick peas)
- Lemon juice (I prefer fresh squeezed but store bought works too)
- Salt
- Tahini
- Garlic (fresh garlic will take to the next level, but I often use powder and it’s delicious too)
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Open can of garbanzo beans and rinse and drain in a strainer
- Add rinsed beans to a food processor or blender
- Add lemon juice, salt, tahini, and garlic and blend until smooth
- Add olive oil until it is the consistency you like. I like to add the oil as it’s blending.
