Easy and Simple Protein Balls

Easy and simple protein balls make the absolute best snack. They are quick to make, have simple nutritious ingredients and are so yummy for kids and adults!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Refrigerate or freeze 30 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor optional
  • Small Cookie Scoop optional

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Rolled oats
  • 1 cup Peanut butter
  • ½ cup Honey
  • ½ cup Chocolate chips
  • Protein or collagen powder Optional. Subtract amount you add from oats.
  • ¼ cup Dye free sprinkles Optional

Instructions
 

  • Put oats into a blender or food processor and blend for about a minute. This step is optional but makes the protein balls much more palatable for kids since there aren't whole pieces of oats to chew. However, if your kids will eat whole oats, skip this step!
  • Put all ingredients into a large bowl and mix together. It will be sticky but you should be able to roll them into a ball.
  • Use a small cookie scoop to measure out your balls. Using your hands roll the blobs into prettier balls. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Place in refrigerator or freezer for about 30 minutes. Store them in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
