1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in or accessing any program offered by CodeBridge Academy ("Academy", "we", "us", "our"), you ("Student", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not enroll in or access our programs.
2. Program Description
CodeBridge Academy offers educational training programs in web development and related technologies. Our programs are designed to teach technical skills through:
- Structured curriculum and video lessons
- Live mentor sessions and code reviews
- Hands-on projects and assignments
- Access to student community and resources
Program content, schedule, and instructors are subject to change at the Academy's discretion.
3. No Guarantees or Warranties
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
CodeBridge Academy is a training and educational service provider. We do NOT guarantee, promise, or warrant:
- Employment Outcomes: We do not guarantee job placement, employment opportunities, interviews, or hiring by any employer.
- Income or Salary: We make no guarantees regarding potential income, salary levels, or earning potential upon completion of our programs.
- Career Advancement: We do not guarantee career changes, promotions, or professional advancement.
- Skill Proficiency: While we provide comprehensive training, individual learning outcomes depend on student effort, aptitude, and continued practice.
- Market Conditions: Job market conditions, hiring trends, and employer requirements are beyond our control and subject to change.
Your success depends on your individual effort, dedication, market conditions, and factors outside our control.
4. Enrollment and Payment
4.1 Enrollment: Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of payment or execution of a payment plan agreement.
4.2 Tuition Fees: All tuition fees are stated in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes.
4.3 Payment Plans: If you enroll in a payment plan, you agree to make timely payments according to the agreed schedule. Failure to make payments may result in suspension of access to course materials.
4.4 Refund Policy: Refunds are available within 14 days of enrollment if you have completed less than 10% of the course material. After this period, tuition is non-refundable. Request refunds in writing to billing@codebridgeacademy.ca.
5. Student Responsibilities
As a student, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete enrollment information
- Maintain confidentiality of your account credentials
- Attend scheduled sessions or watch recordings in a timely manner
- Complete assignments and projects to the best of your ability
- Treat instructors, mentors, and fellow students with respect
- Not share, distribute, or reproduce course materials without permission
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Academy Materials: All course materials, videos, code examples, and documentation provided by the Academy are our intellectual property and are licensed to you for personal educational use only.
6.2 Student Work: You retain ownership of projects and code you create during the program. By enrolling, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use your work for promotional and educational purposes.
6.3 Prohibited Uses: You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our course materials without written permission.
7. Code of Conduct
Students must maintain professional and respectful behavior. Prohibited conduct includes:
- Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind
- Cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty
- Sharing course materials with non-enrolled individuals
- Disruptive behavior during live sessions
- Unauthorized access to Academy systems or data
Violation of this code may result in suspension or expulsion without refund.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your enrollment or use of our services.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount of tuition fees you paid.
- We are not responsible for technical issues, internet connectivity problems, or third-party service failures.
- Educational content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal information is collected, used, and protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA.
10. Termination
10.1 By Student: You may withdraw from the program at any time, subject to our refund policy.
10.2 By Academy: We reserve the right to terminate your enrollment for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or disruptive behavior. No refund will be provided in cases of termination for cause.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, you agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation with the Academy. If negotiation fails, disputes may be resolved through mediation or arbitration in Toronto, Ontario.
13. Amendments
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued enrollment after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
