homemade Orange Slushies
Is there anything better on a hot day than a yummy cold drink?? These homemade orange slushies are not only a kid favorite, but an adult treat too!
How to make homemade orange slushies
Ingredients
Orange Juice. Fresh squeezed is best but store bought works too :).
Cream. I prefer raw cream for the nutrients, but it’s hard to get where we live. We buy non-homogenized whole milk and heavy cream and make our own half and half using equal parts of each.
Pure Maple Syrup (optional).
Ice.
Instructions
Add one and a half cups of orange juice to a blender.
Add 1/2 cup cream.
If using maple syrup, add desired amount. I usually add about a tablespoon.
Fill with ice so that the liquid just covers it. About 1.5 cups.
Blend to desired consistency. If the blender is getting stuck add more orange juice and/or cream until blades freely blend again. If it is too runny, add more ice.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
