Pepperoni chips for an easy and healthy snack win
When we first started eating cleaner I found the hardest thing to replace easily was snacks. In our day and age you can get so many prepackaged snacks and take them everywhere with you and they’ll be good for basically forever. When you start eating more food from scratch, whole foods, clean foods… grabbing a quick snack to take on the road is HARD. Even when I would find something, my kids didn’t generally like it all that much. Not surprising with how highly processed foods tend to make you just want more highly processed foods. Then I found pepperoni chips.
These pepperoni chips are easy to make, tastes absolutely delicious, and my kids love them. They like them plain or dipped in some homemade hummus. They keep for a few days (although they are best fresh), I pack them in my kids lunches, and take them to the park or long car ride for an easy and healthy snack.

How to make pepperoni chips
Ingredients
- Sliced Pepperoni (Try to buy as clean as possible like these)

We like the Applegate Naturals Uncured Turkey Pepperoni because it doesn’t have some of the fillers and other yucky stuff. I like the turkey pepperoni as well because it is WAY less greasy so it crisps up without having a huge mess or having to put them on a wire rack in the oven. Love having less dishes to clean :).
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper (see note below if not using turkey pepperoni)
- Fill cookie sheet with pepperoni in single layers so they are not touching
- Bake pepperoni for about 20 minutes until they are crispy (see note below)
- Remove from oven and let cool before eating (these are best fresh but keep for a few days up to a week in an air tight container)
Notes
If you are using a meat that is much more greasy than turkey, like pork, you may want to place your pepperoni onto a wire rack to help them crisp up more.

I usually bake my pepperoni about 25 minutes. They are darker red and can still be bent slightly when I pull them out. I let them sit for about 5-10 minutes and they will be very crispy and not bend at all.
